Dear families,
On Friday, May 31st, the fourth grade will be
traveling on a field trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. We will be
starting our trip with the exhibit and presentation at the visitor center in
Empire, explore the Maritime Museum and the Blacksmith Shop in Glen Haven, and
will finally eat lunch at the Dune Climb. We will be leaving promptly at 8:05
a.m. and we will be back for the buses at 2:50 p.m.
As you can imagine, the weather can be quite unpredictable.
Being so close to Lake Michigan, we are asking that your child wear layers of
clothing. We will be outside most of the
day rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.
For lunch, we are asking that your child bring a disposable
lunch. Please pack a few extra snacks
for the bus ride to and from the dunes. No glass please.
No chaperones are needed at this time.
