Cup Stacking Challenge

The students had to lift Tommy up just to get the last one on the top.  Thank you Mrs. Kelley for teaching the students about sports stacking and improving their eye hand coordination.  I would have liked to see how you down stack this one.

4th Grade Update

4th Grade Update

Description: C:\Users\lfredin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\YF1KM4BO\MC900382578[1].jpgOn going collections

We are trying to raise money to feed the hungry. Students can bring in money to put in a bucket at school. Don't feel any pressure to donate but the opportunity is here if you were looking for a cause. The winning class gets a Pizza Hut pizza party.

Box Tops, Labels for Education, Tyson, and Spartan UPC
We have collected quite a few. I have to believe we are in the lead on this competition but we will need about 2000 more points to win it.  Last year we collected 5,000 and still lost to Mrs. Brinks
class by 80 labels.  Every label counts, lets see what we can bring in.  The school has bought two tetherballs and red and blue pennies for the playground. The students love wearing these because they know who is on each team. These were ordered through the Campbells label program.  The students are seeing the results of their donations.
MEAP is finally here!
Description: C:\Users\lfredin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\BQFR9GD8\MC900439367[1].jpgWe have worked so hard on preparing for the MEAP test. Here is the 4th graders MEAP schedule. Tuesday Oct. 8 Reading part I
Wednesday Oct. 9 Reading part II
Thursday Oct 10 Writing part I
Tuesday Oct 15 Math
Wednesday Oct 16Writing Part II

Please have your child get plenty of rest at night and feed them well in the morning.  If students do eat breakfast at school, just a reminder that they stop serving at 8:00 a.m.
Picking up your child
If you pick up your child after school please meet them down by the office or outside by the big parking lot.  It is really crowded in the hall and we want to keep the students safe.  If you have an early dismissal please sign your child out at the office first.
Check out www.mcbain.org to see the teacher’s blogs. Mrs. O’Keefe has Social Studies information on her blog.  I have a link to my website on my blog that gets you to spelling lists, assignment sheets, class scheldule, math links, and other fun games.
We finally have our schedule figured out.  Music: Monday at 8:55, PE: Wednesday 2:15 and Thursday 8:15 (nothing like back to back) Computer: Tuesday 8:45 and Friday 9:15, and Library: Tuesday at 10:00 every other week
